The 6th International Conference on Materials and Mechanisms
of Superconductivity and High Temperature Superconductors (M2S-HTSC-VI)
will be held in Houston, Texas, from February 20 to February 25,
2000. On Monday through Thursday All formal conference sessions
and an exciting exhibition will take place in Houston's George
R. Brown Convention Center, conveniently located in close proximity
to conference hotels
in the downtown Houston area. All Friday sessions will be held
at the Hyatt Regency, host hotel, for the convenience of participants.
This important series of meetings, established in 1988, two years
after the discovery of high temperature superconductors, is dedicated
essentially to superconductivity and related phenomena, and the
host materials of these phenomena. The M2S-HTSC Conference Series
evolved from the 1984 M2S Conferences and the preceeding d- and
f-Band Superconductivity Conferences dating back to the early
1970s.
Prior M2S-HTSC-VI conferences:
Interlaken, Switzerland (February 28 - March 4, 1988); Palo
Alto, California (July 1989); Kanazawa, Japan (July 1991)
Grenoble, France (July 1994); Beijing, China (February 28 - March
4, 1997)
