The Sept. 30 deadline
for the Young Investigator Travel Awards has passed.
The Program Committee of the 6th International Conference on
Materials and Mechanisms of Superconductivity and High Temperature
Superconductivity announces the availability of a limited number
of travel awards for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and
junior researchers (5 years or less in professional careers).
Each award will consist of a travel grant of up to $400.00 U.S.
to offset travel expenses, and a waiver of the applicable Conference
registration fee.
Selection Criteria:
- Recent Post-Doctoral Fellowship or Graduate standing in a
recognized academic program in a materials-related field such
as physics, chemistry, electrical, civil, mechanical and materials
engineering and materials science.
- Participation in the M2S-HTSC-VI Conference as an attendee
and author or co-author of a paper or poster selected for presentation.
- Outstanding performance in the conduct of this project and
promise for future substantial achievement in HTS research as
judged by the faculty advisor.
- Significant and timely original research results.

Must include Abstract ID Number received from abstract
submission process.
- Copy of Abstract of Contributed Paper
- Letter of Support from Research Advisor or Supervisor
Deadline: Sept. 30, 1999. Award winners will be
notified by October 15, 1999
