Green Buildings
The U.S. Green Building Council bestows Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification to recognize buildings that have been designed to high environmental standards. These buildings are resource and energy efficient, use sustainable materials and provide a healthy environment for their occupants.

Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of MedicineCertified LEED Gold in 2023, the College of Medicine supports UH's mission to improve health and healthcare in our surrounding Houston community. The 127,000 square foot building resides on 43 acres of woodland and excels in energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality. |
