Career Highlights:

Toshi Yuasa received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Houston, specializing in comparative politics, methodology and American government. He studied at San Diego State University in San Diego, where he earned a Master of Arts in Political Science. Originally from Japan, Yuasa has two bachelor's degrees from Elmira College in Elmira, New York and Senshu University in Tokyo, Japan. He has been the administrator of the Master of Public Administration program and an instructional associate professor at the University of Houston, teaching courses on decision science, policy analysis, global politics, the political economy of Asia, politics and mass media, and quantitative methods, among others. He has been a research analyst for a National Science Foundation research grant, "Three Nation Study of Attitude of Wrongdoing within Corporations." His book reviews and draft reviews include topics on practical propensity score methods using R, longitudinal data analysis for behavioral sciences and Japanese politics.
